My bowling ball doesnt have alot of hook when I throw it. how do i hook more?
I have a 14 lb ebonite playmaker bowling ball. it is supposed to have medium hook potential, but when i throw it, it hooks only to the left about 2 pins. i bought it about 2 days ago. how do i make it hook more? would lessons help?
Lane Conditions, Bowling Style, Drill Pattern, Ball Finish, etc. all come into account with hook potential. Hard to give advice without knowing some of those things, but simple things like dulling your ball's finish will give you more hook potential (earlier as well). I also recommend a wrist support if you're just starting out or just having trouble with consistency, keeps your wrist firm for stronger revs (Personally, I use a Brunswick Powercoil). Also, be sure to take weight, pin position, your flare, etc. into account when getting a ball drilled (most drilling shops can explain these things in further detail and give you advice to suit your style).
